Hi there, I'm Olivia and I am 3-years-old. I am a darling, brown tabby, girl who came to the shelter with my siblings and a group of my friends. Since then I was adopted out as a single cat and returned. I was very stressed in my previous household to the point where I was uncomfortable with the kids and stopped using the litterbox. Since coming back to TAPS I have reconnected with my human friends, am feeling much better, and have even gone to live in a nice foster home. I still occasionally miss just the edge of the litterbox but am doing much better. I am much more relaxed, playful, and enjoy toys or a cat tree to lay in! I am also cuddly and a BIG fan of food! I am a soft and sweet girl. If you think I could be the girl for you, please fill out an application online and my foster mom would be glad to bring me for a visit and sing my praises!

TAPS-Tazewell Animal Protective Society was founded in 1958 in Pekin Illinois in a building donated by the City of Pekin on River Road. In 1979, rapidly rising river water forced the evacuation of the animals. Once again, the City of Pekin stepped in and donated a building for the animals. Several moves later, and with the help and generosity of many volunteers and community members, TAPS now has a new home at 100 TAPS Lane. Last year we celebrated 50 year of caring for the homeless animals of Central Illinois.
