My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a Special Companion?

DONATIONS NEEDED for MEDICAL TREATMENT!

Will not be ready for adoption till mid July!

This is Sulley aka Diddley "Squat"!

What a personality and spirit!
Sulley is a 6 month old, male Shih Tzu, up to date and neutered. He will be about 16-18lbs at this time he is only 11lbs.

As you can see in the pictures he has ulcerated eyes, but he can see and they are healing! He is expected to have 99% vision after the eye treatment. At this time his eyes are healing nicely.

Sulley is a very sweet little guy, very amiable, loves to be held, loves to play and have a great time. He does well with other animals and is a hoot!

Sulley LOVES go for walks, and just the best all around companion!

Sulley had NO problem with being shaved down (due to severe mats) and handled, was great with my clipping his VERY long nails, was great in the tub, and was VERY affectionate.

Vet stated he needs some really good groceries to build up his health due to his immune system is low and he is skinny. They suspect that the injuries COULD have been caused by a groomer's clipper blades poking his eyes. He also was infested with fleas and has flea bite dermatitis ALL over his raw little body, The picture shows the raw spots that he scratched pretty hard.

Please read his story below: How we got Squat

A volunteer was driving along home from obedience class Tues night and saw this little guy darting back and forth aimlessly on a 5 lane main street. So she stopped her SUV in the middle of the 5 lanes and opened all of her car doors, put her flashers on, and tried to catch him. The dog was frantic but would not come to her. A cop stops behind her and sees what she is trying to do so he helps her out and they managed to grab him between the 2 of them. The cop was holding Squat, the cop panicked and told her to come and get this dog he had no idea what to do with it!

If you believe that your home would be a wonderful new forever place for this pet, please email the address to the right so that we may send you an application to complete and return to us.

Anyone interested in our dogs or cats will be required to fill out an adoption contract which includes a home visit by one of our volunteers.

All our dogs will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and heartworm free and all our cats will be spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations and Feline Leuk and FIV free.

We do ask for a $150/dog and $110/cat adoption donation.
