Our senior German Shepherd rescue, Thor, needs a new home. We adopted him almost 4 months ago. Our landlords are selling their house, which caught us completely off-guard. We have to move, and we cannot take him with us as our new house does not allow pets. We are beyond devasted because we love him so much and our responsibility to him was intended to be a lifelong commitment. Thor is an older guy, and he is mostly deaf; however, he responds to some hand commands. He is crate trained and very low maintenance. He does have spurts of playfulness and he really likes tennis balls. We recommend a household with older kids; younger kids we would caution against because of his deafness and the ability to startle him. We do have cats and they tolerated each other; mostly our cats avoided him, but no incidents other than him just chasing them. He is up to date on all of his veterinary vaccinations, lab work, etc. Again, we were planning to have him for the long haul; but, we have been forced
