My story

If you're looking for the perfect easygoing, free-spirited, chill companion, Bradley's your guy! This handsome man (nickname: Boogie) is playful and sweet, with a laid-back personality. His motto: if I fits, I sits. His favorite pastimes: window-watching, zooming and frolicking with his bird friends outside, and eating. He's happy going for long walks or just chilling by your side, as long as you have plenty of pets and yummy treats to give!

Bradley is currently in a foster home, not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting him, please complete an adoption questionnaire. Once your questionnaire is processed, the foster home will be in touch with you to discuss Bradley's personality as well as setting up a chance to meet him in person. Bradley’s adoption includes neutering, microchipping and up to date shots.

- His foster family describes him as active, adorable, curious, energetic, good-company, good-looking, goofy, handsome, hunky, an investigator, one-of-a-kind, playful, silly, solid, strapping, unique, well-trained, mischievous, and a dog with a sense of humor.

- He doesn't just get down off a chair or couch. He slides.

- He does a hilarious ""fat boy"" sit.

- Sometimes he gets sleepy legs and insists he needs to be carried upstairs at bedtime.

- Has played with both large and small dogs, and has done very well. For more information about this animal or our adoption process please visit our website at

More about this shelter

Founded in 1891 and incorporated in June 1947, we are a non-profit organization and a chapter of the NJ State SPCA. The staff and board of trustees are deeply involved and committed to all aspects of animal care and welfare. The money to finance the shelter comes from fees charged to municipalities to house their stray animals, fees charged to adopt, reclaim or release an animal to us, dues, donations, grants, fund-raisers and bequests from caring individuals. In our function as a humane society, the shelter serves as a refuge for thousands of stray, unwanted, abused, abandoned and sick animals
