Tiegan is affectionate, playful and very HIGH energy! He will require an experienced firm, strong handler and a home with no other animals for now. He would be a great companion for someone with training/behavior experienced who is also active. Due to Tiegan's size and energy he is not suitable for apartment living, a home with space for him to run and play is most ideal. A home with young children is not ideal.
ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS & PROCEDURES
Mutt Match L.A. does not adopt out of state nor do we adopt on a first come first serve basis but rather to the home that is best suited for each particular dog and breed. An application, home check, contract and adoption fee are required for all adoptions. All dogs will be, or required to be, spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations and microchipped before adoption. Most of our dogs are from local LA area shelters, we generally have no prior history for them. We do not have cats or other small animals, we cannot say with any certainty how any of our dogs would co-exist with other animals unless they are from homes previously with other animals.
Adoption fees vary between $350 - $450 for puppies 8 weeks – 4 years, $300 5 – 8 years and $250 for dogs over 8 years. Adoption fee covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip a wellness check, any additional medical expenses necessary and of course the all the love and daily care we take with each dog before they are adopted.
We believe a well behaved dog is a happy dog and companion. Therefore, we require at least one session with one of our recommended behaviorists for a reduced fee which is not included in the adoption fee.
