Howdy! My name is Rusty and all I want for Christmas is a forever home! In many ways I am a man of mystery. No one knows how old I am and I have a little gray in my muzzle so the guess is 5-7. I love my toys and playing so its safe to say I am young at heart. I get along well with my hound siblings and will go in my kennel all by myself when its time for breakfast. I don’t even bark at night when its time for bed (also in my kennel) Too I’m sure I would love to snuggle with you if you need me. My mom says I am a Velcro-basset- which probably explains the colorful language she used on several occasions when she didn’t realize I was sticking close by. I’ve got her trained now to look before she makes a move in the kitchen! If I don’t get to be with you all the time, I do tend to complain for a bit, but eventually I get used to the idea. Mom is working on putting few more pounds on me. I may be short but I will be a good size hound when I’m “finished”(55 pounds or so). I am UTD on all vaccinations, HW tested negative and altered. Please remember Every animal for adoption through an Hounds Haven is fully vetted for their age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested! All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every hound is vaccinated (age appropriate), and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to us lining up an appointment for them to see the hound(s) at the hound(s)' home.
