My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I’m Penne. I am a beautiful, shorthaired brown tabby girl who is about 2-and-a-half years old. My ears are super cool and could have their own Instagram channel. I was rescued while pregnant. I took wonderful care of babies. I have a very loving, nurturing personality. My foster mom says, I was the best mom. Well, now my babies are all grown up and venturing off to find homes of their own, which means it's my turn now! I am so excited about finding my forever home. I love people and I daydream about what my family will be like. I bet they will give me pets and back scratches. I bet they will feed me every day and let me snuggle with them. I wonder if they'll have toys for me to play with. I am active and playful. I enjoy chasing and playing with toys. So fun! I also enjoy human company! I have a hearty appetite and eat all my food and I use my litterbox like a good kitty. Just give me a chance and I promise we will make a great pair, apply today! Adoption fee: $75. Adopt a pair: $110. Fee includes testing, deworming, vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip and 30 days of free pet insurance.

NOTE ABOUT BREED LABELING: Visual breed identification of cats is unreliable and usually inaccurate. So, for most of our adoptable cats, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each cat or kitten as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our cats based on personality, not by breed label.

Adoption Process: Complete the application at www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
