Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This sweet and playful guy is Bandit and he is a 3-4 month old Black Lab and German Shepherd mix who weighs just under 20 pounds. Bandit came to us from the local pound as he was running around town and picked up by one of the city workers. No one came forward to claim him so we took him to find him a forever home!
Bandit is smart and energetic guy who LOVES to play with toys and run around the office or the back yard. He is very smart and is already learning how to sit and stay down as he does jump up when he is excited. He walks very well on a leash for his age and he does really well about not having accidents in his kennel during the day but does have them occasionally at night. His new family will need to be dedicated to housetraining him but we are confident he will pick it up quickly!
Bandit has gotten along well with the dogs we have tested him with here at the shelter and he would love a canine companion to romp and play with! We do require that he meet any dog(s) in the prospective home to make sure everyone gets along. Bandit has also done really well with the cats and kittens here and just wants to play with them even if they may not feel the same way! We believe that Bandit would be an excellent companion for children as he loves to play and is pretty gentle for a puppy.
Bandit has not yet been neutered or had his rabies vaccination as he is too young. Both of these are covered in his adoption fee if his adopter take him to the Corydon Vet Clinic in September or October when he is 6 months old. Bandit will also need his last Parvo booster on August 25th. This is also covered in his adoption fee if he is brought back to our shelter to have it done. Bandit's adopter is welcome to take him to their regular Vet for any of the before mentioned things but would need to cover the cost.
If you would like to fill out an adoption application for Bandit please send us an email at hslucascounty@yahoo.com.
Bandit's adoption fee is $100.00.
