My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rock has been at our shelter for over 4 months and we just don't understand why! He is the most handsome, sweetest and biggest baby of a dog you will ever meet who loves nothing more than to lean against you for love and pets!

Rock is a 2-3 year old Staffie mix who weighs just over 80lbs. Rock is mostly deaf but this hinders him very little in day to day life and the only special requirement he needs for this condition is a fenced in yard since he wouldn't be able to hear you calling for him should he slip out the the door when your not looking. Even though he is deaf he does listen to hand signals and is a super smart boy! He knew how to sit when he came to us but our staff have taught him how to laydown and shake! He is an excellent treat catcher and rarely misses. He does pull when walking on a leash so he will need some training in that area but he is fully housetrained and never has an accident in his kennel here.
Rock also loves children! We do recommend children over 8 as he doesn't know his size and his wagging tail can easily knock over or accidently smack smaller children in the face. He does not do well with cats and we are not sure about dogs as we have not had the opportunity to run him with any of our other dogs. We believe Rock as an only pet would be the best suited home.
