My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Update: Jackie has completed her HW treatment and now has a clean bill of health. However, we've recently discovered that she suffers fro seperation anxiety. She is perfectly content when you are with her, but if left alone, she will destroy blinds and anything else obstructing her view of the outdoors as she looks for you.
Jackie will need a home where a family member will be able to stay with her most of the time until she gets past her abandonment issues. She will eventually work through it and understand that if you leave, you WILL be coming back. Until then, she will need to be crated in a veri-kennel (she can get out of the black wire ones) if left alone to avoid damage to window hangings or the possibility of her hurting herself..

She's really such a sweet girl, and is very quiet and unassuming in the house as long as someone is around. She deserves the opportunity to learn that people don't always leave. Could you be the one to teach her?

Hi, my name is Jackie, and I'm a 16 month old female. I'm a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly once I know your intentions are good. I'm very quiet in the house, and I have excellent manners.

My original owner planned to breed me, so I'm very glad to be out of there! Unfortunately, when I went to the vet for shots and to be spayed, we discovered I have heartworm disease. I an being treated for this deadly disease.

Once I get to know my foster fanily, and they get to know me, we'll post more about me. But so far I'm getting along great with the kids and other dogs is my foster home!

Jackie must go to an indoor home where she will be an important part of the family. We do not adopt to anyone under the age of 21. Our adoption fee is $250.

Note: We do not have a shelter location. Our dogs are kept in foster homes as part of a family, to help prepare them for transition into their forever homes. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please contact us by clicking on the email address to your right. We will be glad to make arrangements for a meeting.
