Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shiloh is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home.
Shiloh came from a small town dog pound. She is a Young Husky mix, weighing 30 pounds and maybe around 1 year of age. We think that Shiloh may have had an owner at one time, but no one came to get her from the pound. Shiloh is a very sweet dog. She is very happy, active, and outgoing with people. She loves to play with toys, spin around in circles and will give you lots of kisses. Shiloh is a bit overwhelmed by the other dogs in her foster home, which makes us think she was an only dog. She has not had any problems with any other dogs, she tolerates the puppy jumping all over her, and has even played a bit with some other dogs. But she does not want to go outside unless a human is with her. And if the other dogs are too rowdy she will hide in a safe spot and stay there until someone comes to get her. In the house, Shiloh likes to stay in her crate where she feels "safe" from the other dogs. She has pottied in the house but we think this is because she is scared to go to the door. In the bedroom and away from the other dogs, she is playful and active, running around the bedroom, spinning in circles, jumping on the bed, playing with toys, and giving kisses.
We think Shiloh would do best in a home where she is the only dog, or maybe with only one other sweet and gentle dog. She might need housetraining and other obedience training. She does come when called and walks well on a leash. She is crate trained and will whine or bark when she needs to go out. She does "talk" and "woo woo". She does not appear to be a climber or escape artist. She does have the typical husky coat so adopters should be prepared for a lot of grooming, brushing, and fur everywhere. Shiloh must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She must be walked on a leash and we prefer that she have a securely fenced yard to run and play.
Shiloh is healthy. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and has been receiving monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Shiloh has a $500.00 adoption fee that includes ground transport via Mightly Mutt Shipping for pickup in White River Junction VT, Brattleboro VT, Nashua NH, or Hampton NH. She is being fostered in Texas and will not be sent north until after she is adopted.
