Here's what the humans have to say about me:
His previous owners went back to Mexico for vacation but right before COVID lockdown and were pretty much stuck. Their son, an essential worker, was willing to take care of him indefinitely. Leo is huge and their property small, a shock collar didn’t work on him and neighbors threatened to contact animal control. In addition, the son had new long hours and distance of work was already too far. He lived mostly in a backyard kennel for the first year and a half of his life. He knew this was unfair and decided to re- home him. Since we acquired him in Aug. 2020, he’s lived on our 20 acre farm, so he’s had lots of room to roam. Leo is a big ‘puppy’ who thinks he is a lap dog. He is playful and very affectionate. He can be docile but he can also be protective of his territory, he makes a good alarm system. He loves the outdoors, going on walks, rolling in the grass and especially splashing in huge puddles. He loves the indoors too but isn’t trained well to be indoors, although no accidents.
