Elliott came to us in 2017 at 4 years old after his original owners divorced and could no longer keep him. We intended to foster him short-term, but quickly fell in love. (Those ears!) But, we had another male dog previously and as that dog has aged, the two have clashed. We are now moving to a new home with very little yard, so we have made the difficult decision to look for a home that will be a better fit for him. He is an alpha dog - he warms up to female dogs more quickly, but would do best in a home with no other male dogs and a fenced in yard. He loves to go for car rides and walks, but he tends to bark at other dogs so needs to be on leash and with someone who is willing to work with him and redirect him in those situations. He's a happy little guy - funny, loyal, loving, cuddly and extremely smart. Our trainer was impressed with what a quick learner he is - even at 8 years old! He sleeps in a crate at night and by our feet during the day, always happiest near his humans.
