7/6/10 – Daisy is doing well. We have determined that Daisy would do best in home with no other pups. She just does not like other pups, and especially if toys are involved. She steals the toys from the other pups and will snap at them if they come near her when she has one. She also doesn’t like to be around other pups, so if you have another pup sitting next to you, she will lay somewhere else until they are gone. She is a very happy little girl that needs lots of one on one love and play time, she just doesn’t care for other pups.

6/30/10 - Daisy just got a fresh new haircut the other day, doesn't she look cute!! She has even left the bow in! Daisy is still doing very. She has gotten a lot better about riding in the car and does real well when she is crated. You don't even know she is in the car! She is still as playful as ever and is waiting for that furever family to come along that is willing to spend a lot of play time with her!

6/03/10 - Hi there! Daisy here again! Unfortunately my almost furever home didn't quite work out. We all learned that I do not like to travel! I am a true homebody, that is the only place I like to be. Traveling or going to other houses I do not know gives me too much anxiety and causes other pups to get frustrated with me. However, I do love kids and really love them if they will play with my toys with me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to play with toys! So, if you have a family that can give me lots of play time, do not travel, and are looking for a sweet little dog that will love you to pieces, then I am the girl for you!

1/10/10 - Daisy is doing very well! She is being kept quiet and calm for a couple of weeks to allow her to recover from her surgery. She goes back to see the specialist on January 21st so he can check her incision and make sure everything is healing as it should.

12/30/09 - Daisy is doing very well. We went to see the specialist on Monday to discuss her hernia and her knees. The specialist said they could definitely fix her hernia, they work with these kind of hernias often. He also said it is likely she has it on the other side as well, so they may need to fix both sides. She is scheduled to have this done on January 7th. The surgery is going to cost between $2,000 to $2,500. Once it is fixed, we will not have to worry about her bladder twisting and her needing emergency surgery.

12/18/09 - Daisy went in yesterday hoping to have her horrible knees fixed, but for the first time in the doctor's career, he was unable to repair them. We now know that she was born with the bad knees. The surgery to even possibly repair them is extremely invasive and is likely not something we would want to put Daisy through. We are going to get the opinion of a specialist just to make sure. The only concern with not repairing them is the possibility of her tearing her cruciate ligament, which would be extremely painful, but it could be repaired. We plan on seeing the specialists at the beginning of the new year to discuss her knees and her hernia. Regardless of the medical issues, Daisy is such a sweet little girl. She has recently felt comfortable enough to start playing with toys, which she LOVES. She evens wants to bring her toys to bed with her!! She tosses them around and likes to sit on your lap and chew on them. We even play a little tug of war and fetch and she has a great time! She sometimes sleeps on the pillow we have in bed for her, otherwise she is curled up as close as she can next to you either on top of the covers or under them.

12/10/09 - Daisy had her first trip to the YHR doctor yesterday. Like most of our other NC fosters, Daisy has very very bad knees. They are the reason she walks around like she is squatting a little all the time. The doctor said that if one of her knees was actually good, she would likely be holding the bad one up most of the time. But, since they are both so terrible, she uses them. Daisy also has a big hernia next to her tail. Because of the location, fixing it can be a challenge, so we may need to see a specialist to see if they can fix it. The fear of not doing anything is that at some point it could affect her by becoming impacted and become more of an urgent need to fix. But for now, it does go back in on its own so it isn't critical. She also has seborrhea, which is a skin problem that is causing her hair to be very greasy and she has a few sores from it as well, so she will be getting medicated baths until it subsides. Today she went in to get her teeth cleaned. Daisy is such a frisky happy little girl! She loves attention and gets along good with all the other pups in the house! Please do not let Daisy's medical issues deter you from considering her a new addition to your family. She is such a sweet happy little girl that deserves all the love and affection she can get!

12/6/09 - Hello everyone, my name is Daisy! I came to YHR because my family has been affected by the downturn in the economy and therefore, could not care for me as they once were able to. They hope that I will find a new furever home that can give me everything I need. I miss my family a lot, but have been getting used to all the other yorkies I am staying with. They can be a crazy bunch! My foster mom keeps telling me how sweet I am, which I love to hear. I am very good about doing my business outside and make sure you remember to give me my treat when I come in! My favorite place to sleep at night is on your pillow right next to your head. Your pillow is just so comfortable, how could I resist? Foster mom and dad did give me my own pillow in between theirs which worked great too! If you think you want to be my new furever home, please fill out an application and don't forget to select my name!
