My story

Hi, I'm Josie! I'm a sweet 7 year old cattle dog mix. My favorite things are playing with toys, taking short walks, and watching crime dramas on the couch with my head on a pillow! The beauty of being 7 is I'm a mature girl who appreciates a good adventure with my people, a 20 minute walk, or some quality play time, but once my needs are met, I'm happy to just relax and be with my people.

I've lived as an only dog my whole life, but I've had some other dogs in the home since coming to rescue and I pretty much like everyone! My foster mom thinks that if your home already has a dog, I'll do best with another low-key, mellow, adult dog in the house. I love all people (teenagers especially) and have lived with children as young as 5 years old.

I currently weigh a perfect 45 pounds and am fully house trained! I'm up to date on all my vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and on heart worm preventative. My adoption fee is $350. For the chance to adopt me, please complete an application at happytailsaz.org.

Why adoption is a great option

Josie, a Chandler Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cattle Dog for sale in Chandler, or seeking a Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cattle Dog breeders who help with Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
