Mimi is happy, sassy and playful . . . she is almost kitten-like. Mimi is very independent, intelligent, loves affection from her human companion and, at times, screams at you to get that affection sounding like a screeching pterodactyl! She is a high jumper, loves perches and scratching posts. Mimi is a special needs kitty as she has limited mobility in her back legs. This makes it difficult for her to groom and scratch parts of her body. Mimi accepts being pet and brushed on her face, neck and chin. She is protective and sensitive to touch near her back legs and will verbally respond. Otherwise, Mimi maneuvers around well as she walks with a waddle, she can jump and can be quite fast! The damage to her legs was caused by being crushed in a chair recliner. Mimi was attacked by dogs that left her with a damaged jaw; the reason her tongue sometimes protrudes from her mouth, at times causing her to drool. Her ideal home is with an individual, couple or family; Mimi does well with adults and children, however, kids must be aware of her challenges. It would be best if Mimi is the only pet. She must be an inside-only kitty. Mimi is 11 years old, has a medium length coat with a black-and-white tuxedo pattern. She is currently not on medication and uses a litter box, however a low-sided box is a good option.
