Bernice came to Pasado’s Safe Haven with her boyfriend, Wally. Bernice is a smaller girl who knows her way around a pond. She enjoys preening herself in the sun and cannot wait to find her forever home. Wally and Bernice are very friendly and will walk right up and eat blueberries from your hand. Bernice enjoys spending time with her caregivers and will even follow them around the barn some mornings. They are very sweet ducks and will make wonderful companions to other waterfowl and humans alike!
*Bernice is female and Wally is male.

More about this rescue
Pasado’s Safe Haven was founded in 1997 in honor of “Pasado“, a beloved donkey who was tortured to death by three teenage boys. Located on 85 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, we are a non-profit on a mission to end animal cruelty.
In addition to investigating animal cruelty crimes and providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to animals who have suffered from abuse and neglect, we also advocate for better laws to protect animals and work to educate the public about how they can help end animal suffering. Through our uniquely comprehensive programs, we are able to help thousands of animals every year and spread a message of compassion to countless people.
