My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Yeti

When we first rescued Yeti, he had been failed by multiple families. We vowed to let Yeti have the time he needed to decompress and get comfortable in a foster home. We promised him he would never again be without the secure yard he needs nor other dogs with whom he felt comfortable. Yeti has had that environment since day one with us. While he is still very timid with people, he has shown us time and time again that with playful, kind dogs, he is happy and can fully relax.

Yeti recently went to daycare to play with a big group of friends.  As you can see, he was happy happy happy!!!

Yeti may never be a cuddly, attentive, attention-seeking dog. His breed (He’s a Great Pyrenees, albeit TINY for the breed standard) is KNOWN for being aloof and Yeti may always embody that trait. We do expect him to continue to relax inherently and get more comfortable in the presence of his forever home family.

ABSOLUTE MUSTS in Yeti’s home:
6’ minimum secure fence
Playful, friendly dog or dogs with whom he can romp and run
Quiet, adult only home
People with experience with the breed would be a bonus!
It should be expected that Yeti - and his three layers of fur - will need regular grooming :-)

Yeti is approximately 2 years old, 50lbs, heartworm negative.

Yeti is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. His adoption donation is $400.
