My story

Adyn is a really cool name right? Could you try spelling it then?

Not so cool anymore? This is my dilemma everyday at doggy school! No one can say or pronounce my name correctly... I have begun to answer to Phil, maybe that will help?

Adyn IS my name and LOVE IS my GAME! I am a young boy, about 3 years old, yet I know who I am and I know that I LOVE YOU!

I am very smart, I am a potential running buddy, or at least a great hiking buddy! Either way, I love to have all my energy let out with you doing cool stuff!

I love my people, I am good with other dogs, however I need to be in a one dog/one animal home because I want all the attention!

I am not a "dog park" kind of dog, either.

I am such a great companion for my person or people, but I do get protective in my (our) space. This means I need to be crated when people come to visit and I need a LEADER. Simple as that!

Unfortunately two adopters' already have not followed this principle and so I am still looking for the home that really understands what is best for me and what is best for your visitors...really do I have to meet everyone??

Some basic information about Adyn; he is 4-years old, male, Chow Chow/Yellow Labrador Retriever, and is medium-sized (20-59lbs).

Additional adoption info

Adoption application required.

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted.

So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

Go meet their pets

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
