My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Helene, as in a slightly different spelling of Helen of Troy. I’m sure you’ve heard of her. One of the most gorgeous women to ever grace this earth. Well not to toot my own horn, but there’s a reason I was named for her. I have gorgeous ginger fur, and the classic red headed personality. And yes, I am cross eyed. Which was considered quite beautiful for much of history by the way.

I love my people. Like, really love them. I want to be within arms reach at all times. But I’m not too needy; I don’t need to be held or picked up. In fact, I’d rather be right next to you instead so you can properly pet me with both hands. I love to lounge on the chair next to my foster mom, the cat tower, or the bed, whenever my foster mom is working. I help out with making sure she takes screen breaks with a nice belly rub. I will present myself for rubs, rolling flat on my back and pointing my paws. 

I do currently live with another kitty, but we don’t quite get along. We do our own thing and stay out of each others way.  I love to play with the feather on a string, chew on cardboard boxes, and playfight.  I'm around 2 now so I still have some playful kitten in me.  

I am vocal, and it can come across as intimidating, but I’ll tell you a secret, I’m all bark and no bite.
