Mehya is a 9-year-old, female Siberian Husky with beautiful blue eyes and a stocky build. She came to NorSled after the death of her owner and currently lives with a 4-year-old Malamute/Siberian Husky mix (Nori, also available for adoption) and a 12-year-old Chihuahua.
If you're looking for a girl who will be with you wherever you go, that's Meyha. Don't expect to leave a room without her following you. If you're looking for a dog to be part of a pack, that may not be the best choice for Meyha, although with some work and attention, she's done ok.
Mehya does well with the neighbor's granddaughter, walks well on lead for her daily walks (but is okay sleeping away the day) and isn't a barker, jumper, climber, digger or eater of shoes or remote controls, although I can't say the same thing for trash waste when I'm not home. She's nonplussed by the vacuum or Roomba (which usually just runs into her, turns and goes in another direction), loud noises (fireworks), doesn't sing with sirens, is house trained and knows how to use a doggie door. She's also used to having food available, so you don't need to be around at a specific time to feed her or worry that she'll overeat. She LOVES treats and learns quickly when she knows she'll get one.
Like all NorSled dogs, she's tested negative for heartworm, on heartworm prevention, microchipped, current on her shots and is just looking for her own forever home.
