My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

This is Forty and he may look familiar because he was adopted as a young puppy but his adopted family wasn't willing to put in the time and training they agreed to so wanted to return him. We always take our dogs back and Forty was lucky enough to return to his original Amazing Foster Family! Forty was born 4/3/21 and is an American Bully/Heeler mix. He is now a 70 pound ball of love and laughs! Forty is as sweet as can be but does need someone committed to continuing with his training! He's doing great with older kids but does still jump up and may accidentally knock down a younger child and could inadvertently hurt them. S o due to Forty's size, we recommend a home with older kids or parents who will watch their kids around a big, goofy puppy who doesn't understand how big he is! Forty does ok with the kitties in the foster home, but if they start running, he does want to chase. Forty has good recall and will stop when you tell him. Forty would do best in a home with a fenced in yard and another furry friend to play with. He is already housebroken and crate trained but can get a little loud in the crate when you first get home, because he's so excited that his people are home! We do recommend that you crate Forty when you are not home to protect him as well as your home, he can be destructive when he gets bored. Overall, Forty's Amazing Foster Mom says that he's a great boy who is still just a pup at heart, so a little fine tuning is all he needs!
