My story

Cassiopeia is a sweet 4-year old female kitty who was found in Marietta Ohio in September 2020 fending for herself. Fortunately for Cassiopeia, a kind-hearted lady offered her the hospitality of a temporary foster home in addition to taking her to an amazing local veterinarian for a health checkup, vaccines, and any medical care that Cassiopeia might require.

Cassiopeia has a brown tabby short smooth coat with white markings on her chest/paws, a long ringed tail, and a beautiful face with large golden eyes, a brown velvet nose, and long white whiskers.

Her foster mother describes Cassiopeia as a very quiet affectionate kitty whose favorite activities are sleeping and taking cat naps during the day (and she enjoys sleeping with her foster dad). Although she is not a lap cat, Cassiopeia tolerates being picked up and being brushed, and she likes a scratching post. Cassiopeia isn't into playing with toys. She gets along well with other cats in her foster home.

Cassiopeia was combo tested on September 14, 2020 and is negative for feline leukemia and FIV. The veterinarian verified that Cassiopeia was already spayed.

Cassiopeia was given vaccinations (including feline leukemia vaccine) on October 9, 2020. She was given booster vaccines and rabies vaccine on December 2, 2020.

Cassiopeia is a full-figured girl who weighs 12 lbs, so there is a lot of her to love.

These photos were taken on August 25, 2021 when Cassiopeia's foster mother brought her in to have glamour photos taken. She was a pleasure to spend time with as she pussyfooted around our 'studio'. Cassiopeia purred constantly and head-butted/rubbed up against our photographer for attention. And when her photo session was over, she happily jumped back into her soft-sided carrier and was ready to head back home for a well-deserved cat nap.

Cassiopeia is ready to find a home of her very own. Her foster mother will be happy to answer questions about her and to bring her back to the shelter for a meet-and-greet with an approved HSOV adoption application.
