Shaggy & Scooby were confiscated by Hayward Animal Control along with eight other dogs from a hoarding situation. Everyone lived in a single hotel room. All of the dogs were related (puppies having puppies . . . ). Four of the dogs were fixed and returned to the owner, while the other six were left at the shelter. None of them were deemed “adoptable” and no other rescue group would take any of them, so Nobody’s Perfekt Dogs pulled all six into multiple foster homes. Shaggy & Scooby have adjusted very well to their new environment, whereas some of the six dogs are still struggling. Here is what their foster mom writes:
“Shaggy and Scooby are my sweet, loving foster dogs. Shaggy is around 2-3 years old and Scooby may be a little older. They weigh around 17-20 pounds and have Corgi-like length and short legs. They are sturdy and athletic. It would be ideal for them to be adopted together as they love each other and gain confidence when together. They are slow to warm up ( takes a few days) but, when they do, they are very devoted to you and so cuddly.”
Both dogs get along with other dogs, but they need to be adopted together.
Please note that we don’t adopt any of our dogs out to homes with children under the age of 13.
