My story

Meet adorable and charming Miss Diamond. This super-cutie is six years old and weighs 55lbs. She is ready for an awesome and active forever home. Cora thinks it’s time she ‘catches a break’ in a life with crappy people. Diamond was abandoned after a drug bust in her earlier life, but now is in foster care with Jillian at Training To The Rescue. Her luck is changing! Diamond is social and happy and working on her basic commands with trainer Jillian. Cora currently walks better with a training collar and your adoption includes follow up training with Jillian. She is affectionate and loves attention. Diamond has a good amount of energy and would really dig it if her new adopter was a runner or walker. We haven’t tested her with kids but hope to do that soon. Due to her higher energy, we think no cats are best in Diamond’s future. She gets along best with dogs about her size or larger as she can be a bit selective about her play partners. Diamond is good on a leash and loves any adventure you will be taking her on! She is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped and ready for a second chance at an awesome life! For questions, email Jillian at trainingtotherescue@gmail.com or go to raincityrescue.com/adopt to complete an adoption application right away. Dazzling Diamond is hoping to be swept off her feet by you and ready for her next fun-filled chapter!

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

We have an extensive application that asks for personal references, vet references, landlord information and agreeing to home check etc.

2.

Approve Application

After the application is submitted we call the applicant as well as the references prior to ever committing to meeting the pet.

3.

Home Check

We personally (or a qualified know rescue partner) will physically go to the home and meet potential adopters, children if any, pets if any

Additional adoption info

We are very thorough with all applications, we let people know if they are not a good fit and then make additional pet suggestions for them based on their application. We communicate well and quickly with emails and inquiries too. No fees are ever taken until fiinal contract is signed and we offer a "foster to adopt" option as well. We ALWAYS take our dogs back - no matter what!

Go meet their pets

Dogs will either meet people in my current home or adopters home or at the new facility when we are in this summer. We have had adoption events in the past and love to partner with local pet stores, though I currently have none planned. I also work closely with area shelters and veterinarians and take animals frequently from both.

More about this rescue

I am a certified dog trainer (I have trained service dogs for over 8 yrs) and evaluate, train and foster my current rescues. I am currently expanding to a new facility that will include training, day care and boarding. ALL of which my rescues get to take advantage of! I also have fosters so my animals get real-life experience as well!
