My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Ruby came to us from an outdoor feral cat colony where she had just started hanging around for a few months amongst all the regular fixed cats. She was finally trapped and taken to the shelter to be spayed whereupon we found she was already spayed, telling us that she had been abandoned. No one came to claim her at the shelter so she was vaccinated, microchipped, and given an ear tip so show she is spayed, and was supposed to go back out to this colony because she appeared too shy for a regular shelter adoption center.  Her caretaker contacted us asking if we could evaluate her before she went back out because if she had been spayed/owned before, maybe she deserves a second chance.

Immediately we could tell that she was meant to be an indoor kitty. She loves to be petted and will eat treats right out of your hand and sit in your lap. She is shy in her foster home but she will let you pick her up and even gives hugs back! She gets along fine with other cats if they mind her personal space. She would be great as an only cat or would be fine with another kitty in the house.  She is gaining more confidence each day and will soon be the most perfect companion.
