This helps Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue with pet care costs.
Ryder (b. 4/30/2021) pittie mix who was rescued from a terrible domestic violence situation. Ryder is super sweet ONCE YOU HAVE GAINED HIS TRUST, but still feels fearful in new situations and will bark at strangers. He does take a while to warm up to new people and will need need a few meet and greets before an adoption can be finialized. He LOVES walks and playing with other dogs. He knows his manners well and is fully potty trained. He's still blossoming into his own confident self so check back for more updates!
Before applying to adopt Ryder, you need to be familiar with your local breed-specific legislation regarding Pit Bulls. Applicants must live within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area.
The suggested adoption donation for Ryder is $265. We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. All donations go toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, providing supportive services to animals in homes, and funding for special programs like Muddy Paws Parvo Puppy Project.
Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $80/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance.
Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
