Danica has just turned 1 year old and weighs 45 pounds. She was one of 6 puppies relinquished to Poochmatch by the owner of their mother, a labrador retriever mix. They were covered in head to toe with ticks (Danica had over 50!). All cleaned up, spayed, and free to be her wiggly puppy-self, she is now available for adoption! She is a sweet puppy with a playful spirit. She is extremely good natured and sociable with people and other dogs. She LOVES to play! A forever home that will give her plenty of toys and ways to get her energy out is ideal. Danica is more reserved and cautious with new people at first. Cautious as in shy yet curious--never aggressive. She would benefit greatly from a family ready to show her plenty of positive reinforcement and how great being a member of the family can be. She, while shy at first, is a darling girl and would make a good family pet.
If this listing is still posted, we are still accepting applications. We do not do out-of-state adoptions. We do not hold dogs, please submit your application when you are ready to adopt.
If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND.
We commonly receive multiple applications for a single dog. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog on Saturday at Petsmart in Yorba Linda between noon and 3 pm OR on a mutually agreeable day, time and place during the week.
All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Danica, a Santa Ana Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Santa Ana, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Santa Ana.
Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Ana already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Ana breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Ana paves the way for another one to be saved.
