I've been fostering Bella for the last 2 weeks. While Bella has a red hot passion for chasing cars, but that's just the smallest aspect of this lady's big personality! Bella loves people and has warmly greeted every stranger here, including kids. She's very gentle with people, all sweetness and affection. Bella loves to hang out with her people as much as possible but she doesn't have a problem with separation anxiety. She's great in her crate. A couple walks a day to tire her out, some backyard time, plus lots of pets and naps keeps her very happy. A few times a week she tests to see if we've changed our minds about letting her on the bed or couch then as soon as she hears "OFF" she gets down with an apologetic slink (she knows the rule, she just really wants it to change so she can snuggle at her maximum potential). Other than that, Bella has flawless indoor manners.
Bella has a loud bark but she uses it sparingly; she prefers to communicate using her comically large vocabulary of expressive grumbles.
Bella settled in here wonderfully and is really one of the easiest dogs I've ever fostered. Car-chasing aside she really couldn't be more delightful.
Bella does have dog reactivity (she's fine at a distance but escalates with dogs that instigate or get up close) so for now she should be the only dog in the home. You have to be a bit strong to handle her on a walk when cars drive close-by, but other than that she's an absolutely lovely, sweet girl.
