Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dog name and description:
Bella is about 7+ years old and spayed . She is up to date on her shots. She is microchipped also.
She has come to us because her family situation has changed and they had to move. Living in an apartment with no fenced yard is hard on her. She is a great dog.
She is not nervous with strangers. She is good with kids 13 years and up. She has been with other dogs, birds and a cat. She is doing well in her foster home.
THIS IS NOT A WORKING DOG AND WILL NOT BE PLACED AS ONE. IT WOULD BREAK THE DOG'S HEART.
THE APPLICATION PROCESS CAN BE FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE AT
http://www.nepyresq.org/page/adoption-process-47.html.
OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES ACROSS THE NORHTEAST. AFTER YOU ARE APPROVED YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE CONTACT INFORMATION FOR THE FOSTERS SO YOU CAN GO MEET THE DOG (S) .
YOU CAN NOT TRAIN A PYRENEES TO STAY IN YOUR YARD WITHOUT A FENCE. IT IS IN THIER NATURE. IF YOU WANT A DOG TO WALK OFF LEASH WITH YOU THIS IS NOT THE BREED FOR YOU.
The adoption fee is $400 due to cost of medical needs of our dogs. $450 for Dogs 12 months and under. You will receive a copy of their medical records when you adopt.
If you have never had a Pyr Puppy you need to read this : http://www.nepyresq.org/page/i-want-a-great-pyrenees-puppy-50.html.
We DO NOT accept INVISIBLE fencing for the following reasons:
1) Most Pyrs ignore the pain and go through it.
2) This is a guardian breed and this fencing does not keep people or other animals out of your yard. The Pyr could take them as a threat or be attacked by them.
Most of these dogs are not a dog park breed. They bark a lot and can bother your neighbors.
