Tess's Terry aka Loki is about 4 yrs old and weighs about 65 lbs. His family had some big changes and could not keep him, sadly. He was fully housebroken via doggie door in his home. He is affectionate and loves to give hugs and kisses. He absolutely loves to go for long walks and when he does, he never barks at other dogs and is very good on a leash. He does well with older (teenage) kids but has never been around young kids or babies. He has not been around other dogs since he was adopted, but we have not seen any negative reactions here. He would be a great companion for adults or a single person who has the energy to keep up with him
He was professionally trained so he knows how to sit, stay, lay down and to go to his place (doggy bed) He absolutely LOVES his big rubber ball. His favorite thing to do is play ball all day. His favorite place to sleep is at the end of the bed even though he has his own doggy bed. He is very good when getting a bath. He does drool when riding in the car. He is a great watch dog as he lets everyone know he is in the home
DNA test results show that Loki is a combination of Australian Cattle Dog, German Shepherd, American Pit Bull Terrier, Siberian Husky, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Supermutt which is Golden Retriever and Chow

This pet is spayed/neutered, has current vaccinations and includes a microchip, deworming and 2 free vet visits, including a Healthy Start Certificate with the VCA Hospitals with a $250 health credit (restrictions apply). Adoption fee applies.

Adoptions held every Sat & Sunday 10-4. If you have another dog, bring for a meet/greet. The entire family must attend.

Applications are at the event once you have chosen a dog. If you rent, you will need to have your lease, showing the pet restrictions.

Some dogs require a home check.

Once the interview is complete, you will fill out the adoption contracts. Once the contract is approved , the pet can go home.

Please read the FULL story of each dog. It will tell you who to contact and which location that dog is being adopted from each weekend. You MUST have a collar that fits the dog & leash before you will be allowed to take a dog home with you. All puppies should have a brand new collar & leash for health reasons.
Each animal has an adoption fee. The fees pay the dog's vet bills. We require everyone to fill out a 4 page questionnaire/requirements to help us determine if this is the best fit for the dog and its potential human family.
If you rent, please bring your rental agreement stating that you are allowed to have a dog and what the requirements and restrictions are for your home, apartment or condo property.

More about this rescue
We have grown to be one of Nevada's largest animal rescue groups providing a safe haven for dogs suffering from abuse, neglect or homelessness. In most of these cases, death would have resulted if the animal had entered a municipally funded shelter. We receive no local or federal funding, it relies solely on the generosity of its contributors and tax deductible donations received from the public. We always need volunteers and foster homes!
