Before reading Kodak's bio, please know that WE WILL ONLY PLACE HIM IN A HOME WITH PREVIOUS MALINOIS EXPERIENCE.Kodak is an adorable and active Belgian Malinois pup who was originally purchased by a family who hadn't had a Mal before and they weren't even Kodak's first owners! In just 4 short months, Kodak had already been in a couple of homes. His second owners realized that he wasn't a good fit for their family and asked us for help. This is a working breed and they do not make good couch potatoes. Kodak, born on 1/8/19, is sweet, happy, friendly, and quickly became a volunteer favorite. Initially, he may bark in new situations, but he warms up quickly, knows basic obedience, and is good on a leash. He absolutely adores toys of all kinds and can spend hours chasing down balls. Kodak has good food and toy drive, so he excels in obedience classes. He bonds quickly, wants to be with you, and will be a wonderful addition to his new family as long as they make a commitment to giving him the training and guidance that he needs. WE WILL ONLY PLACE FURY IN A HOME WITH PREVIOUS MALINOIS OR OTHER WORKING DOG EXPERIENCE.Watch his video here.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.November 27, 2022, 5:22 am

More about this rescue

Coastal German Shepherd Rescue of Southern California is a non-profit 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned German Shepherds. Your tax deductible donations go to support these very deserving animals. Coastal was formed to serve communities in the counties of San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles and the Inland Empire.

Coastal is dedicated to providing new beginnings for homeless German Shepherds who have been abandoned, neglected, abused, relinquished by their owners or just left at local shelters to await an uncertain future.

We are committed to finding loving permanent homes for the Orphaned dogs in our care. Coastal is an all volunteer, no-kill, non profit organization.

Our mission is to educate the public about German Shepherds, their lifespan, personality, activity level, along with overall responsible dog ownership. We also raise awareness of over population of animals through education, training, spaying and neutering. We work very hard to match each dog with the adoptive families.
