Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Scout, a handsome Hound currently looking for a forever home, or a foster-to-adopt situation.
Scout is a young, happy, energetic and playful pup, estimated to be about 18 months old, weighing about 48 lbs. He loves to spend his days running and playing in the yard. Scout is learning basic commands….and has made a great deal of progress.
Scout is a dominant male and would not do well with another male dog in the home (unless possibly a very submissive senior male). This loveable pup would be best as an only dog in an all-adult (humans) home. However a submissive female would be ok; he has done well in a foster home with a submissive female. Scout would not do well with cats or other small animals.
An ideal home for Scout is one knowledgeable of and experienced with the personality of Hounds as well as their temperament and habits. A secure, fenced yard is ideal for Scout. He absolutely loves to run and play, all very typical behaviors for a young boy like Scout! He likely would do fine with children over the age of 12 years old, but he would be too energetic and strong for younger children. As with all of our dogs, we are looking for adopters with a solid and consistent vet history for current and/or past dogs
Scout is fully vetted, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round heartworm prevention, neutered and microchipped.
