Hi- I’m Zuma. I am a Pointer/Australian Cattle Dog, about 45 lbs. I am extremely sweet and affectionate with people. I had an unstable home situation prior to returning to PPITS that affected my confidence, so I went to professional training to improve my commands and work on them, especially around other dogs during my walks. I enjoy structure and discipline and need it to feel safe. I am potty trained, and crate trained. I can get along with other dogs but it needs to be a slow structured introduction in a calm and stable environment. I love a calm environment and love to cuddle and snuggle up on the couch. I love hiking and being active. I would do best with an active person, a couple, or a family with teenage kids that is open to learning my training commands and will continue working with me to stay up to date with my obedience and discipline, so I don't feel anxious in outdoor areas. I can’t wait to meet you and snuggle up to my forever family! Will that be you?

Interview
Once we receive your application, we will schedule a phone interview.

Meet the Pet
After we've had the chance to get to know you and feel you would make an awesome pet parent, we'll schedule a meeting with the pet.
4.
Home Check
We require an in-home home check (not virtual) for all adoption candidates.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If approved, we will send you our adoption agreement and link to pay the adoption fees.
6.
Pay Fee
I approved, we will send you the payment options available to pay the adoption fee. All fees go towards our life-saving programs.
7.
Take the Pet Home
FINALLY! Once the adoption fee and agreement are received, we will make arrangements with you to take home your new family member! Congrats!
