Animal Profile: Chase is an estimated 2 to 3-year-old, 65 lb male mixed breed who was rescued from a shelter in California after being found as a stray near Moreno Valley. He is sweet and playful, and our volunteer transporter reports that he gets along with other dogs. We will share more info as we get to know him in foster care.
Seattle Foster Update: Chase is a playful puppy in a 2-year-old body! When he arrived it was apparent he had not spent much time on a leash, so we're working on his leash manners, and he recently completed a canine obedience class. He is wonderful around kids including toddlers. He loves playing with other dogs and running in the yard. He will do best with a dog buddy or a yard to call his own. He has learned to get along with the dog-savvy cats in his foster home, but can sometimes be rambunctious and unaware of his size. Overall, this big, goofy boy is happy go lucky and will make a wonderful addition to a hound-loving household.
Chase is crate trained and has basic obedience training. He sometimes likes the sound of his own voice so does need a single family residence vs an apartment. A fenced yard will also be a plus for him, though he's not prone to wander or try to escape.
Adopter Profile:
