My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Currier! This great little tricolor smooth coat youngster with striking markings came from a very crowded Idaho shelter with his brother, Ives. We suspect that these two pups probably received very little attention in their former life, but Currier is now settled into life in a loving foster home and is shaping up to be quite a nice lad – and quite a cuddlebug!

It didn’t take this boy long to learn how wonderful people can be, and has become quite the “people pup” - he even prefers to be inside with his family over being outside playing with the other dogs. He really enjoys human company and he can be most often found lying at your feet with a chew toy. Of course, that’s not to say he doesn’t enjoy his doggie pals, too. He lives with 2 BCs in his foster home, gets along great with other dogs, and certainly enjoys some canine playtime…or playing with his people…especially if they are shoveling snow!! He leaps into the air and whirls around to catch each shovelful before it falls, and will even dig in the snow to “help”. Silly kid! He also loves toys of all kinds and definitely shows fetch potential – although right now he prefers to have the other dogs chase him with the toy more than than bringing it back to the human! He would make a terrific hiking or jogging buddy…his ideal is a nice hike or jog and then home to chill out with his humans.

Curry really enjoys getting out in the world and gains confidence with each outing. Unlike a lot of young BCs, Curry is not a super duper high energy, busybody, however – give him a good bit of exercise and he settles down well, content with a good run or a couple of good walks a day, some playtime, and all the attention you can give him.

Curry is bright and people focused and so – you guessed it! – is a pretty fast learner. He is now cratetrained and housetrained, is quickly improving his house manners, and has already got the basics down and is moving beyond those in his foster home. He rides in the car well and is doing great with his leash training. He will definitely need an adopter who will continue to work with him on his “How to be a great dog” education and who will guide him and help him out with a little extra encouragement in new situations, as he’s a little lacking in confidence sometimes. Like a lot of pups his age, Curry is QUITE the chewer right now and will need a vigilant adopter who will provide him with lots of appropriate outlets for his busy young mouth…he’s also, like a lot of pups his age, a little mouthy when excited, so will not be placed in a home with small children.

And yes – he’s totally adorable!! With his fabulous markings, sparkling eyes, and an adorable expression, Curry is hard to resist. And when he’s excited – he grins a big toothy one!! At 7 months old, Curry is about 40 pounds and ALL wiggleworm. With his bandito mask and charming ways is sure to capture your heart. Curry has all the makings of a great companion, and is suitable to a lot of different kinds of homes. If you are looking for an all-round nice little fella with whom to share some outdoor adventure and snuggletime every day, Curry may be the guy for you!

Currier is neutered, microchipped, fully vetted and living in a loving foster home near Riverton, WY.
