My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our boy Scrappy! He is about 8 years old and full of life! Scrappy is the perfect beach pal, he loves to paddle board and lay in the sun with you! He is a little scared of other dogs, cats and children so he would need to be adopted in a kid and animal free home. Scrappy is not too found of kisses or getting close to his face it can make him nervous as well. He had unfortunately been returned to the shelter a couple of times because they did not respect his space, he will tell you when he is comfortable with you! Apply to adopt Scrappy today!

More about this shelter

The Oahu SPCA was founded in April of 2009 and launched its mission, "Every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home." The overwhelming support of community members was instrumental in helping to establish the first animal shelter in the state of Hawaii with a "no-kill philosophy." On July 18, 2009, 432 animals were relinquished to the Oahu SPCA the Largest Animal Rescue in the history of Hawaii. The Oahu SPCA rescued all 432 animals in 48 hours after the owner of an animal sanctuary in Waianae passes away.
