My story

Hi my name is Dawn. I am about 2 years old but still think that I am a puppy in heart. I really love to play. I found myself homeless and sad but Polka Dogz is happily trying to find me my furever home where I can be loved. Could you open your home for me? I would give you so many snuggles. Would be great if I had another fur friend to teach me but they would have to be bigger than me. I am not really the type of dog that like children either. Please APPLY FOR Me  AT POLKADOGZ.ORG

PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $150 and you can adopt me at POLKADOGZ.ORG

Additional adoption info

FIRST step is to fill out a pre adoption application (www.polkadogz.org). We check vet references, personal references and do home visits before adopting any pet. We also help match the right pet to the right home. All current pets in household must be spayed/neutered and on heartworm prevention (very important) Adoption fees help us support all the dogs in our rescue, some of which cost thousands in medical bills. Thank you for caring about the greater good!

Go meet their pets

Typically, meet and greets are done after the application is approved and the home visit is completed. We also bring our dogs to the occasional event. You can track our events on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/polkadogz/.

More about this rescue

We strive to educate the public on responsible pet ownership. We rescue many dogs with heartworms, injuries nad those who have been victims of severe neglect and/or abuse. Maverick is a perfect example. He is paralyzed and we work daily with him to hopefully help him walk again.
