My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie is a six and a half month old puppy (as of 9/20/2021). She weighs approximately 7 pounds and when grown should be around 12 pounds. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She is a typical puppy and will need a very patient owner. She’s not totally house trained yet and still likes to chew up things. We want to adopt her out to someone who is home most of the time. She is too young to be left alone. We hope to find an owner who can be engaged with her - an agile, active, energetic person who can get out in the yard and run, play, throw a ball or a toy, play tug of war, etc. Another dog would be great, but males only. She will do okay with cats, but no farm animals or critters. Dixie requires a home with no kiddos. You must have a securely fenced yard. No electronic fencing. She will not do well in an apartment. She will bark when left alone and she needs a yard to run around in and play. A home visit and a good vet reference are mandatory to adopt her. Her adoption fee is $325. We will place her in Texas, Oklahoma, or Louisiana only. Her adopter has to drive to the San Antonio, Texas area to get her.
