Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We initially acquired Lucy as a puppy after my parent's rat terrier had 2 puppies now 6 years ago. We had 2 young daughters at the time and wanted them to have the experience of having a dog. Initially Lucy did well with our family and we loved her sweet mild temperament. However, as our family grew and became busier, Lucy did not tolerate the increased "stress" of a busy family and at times became quite anxious and stressed. Her stress showed itself as having more accidents in the house and feeling threatened by our younger daughters. We believe that Lucy can be her best self in a household that has predictable rhythms and low stress. She is loving and loyal with older children and adults. She loves going for walks and just being lazy in someone's lap by a fire. Her perfect day would be waking up, getting her morning food and water, and then finding a cozy spot in the sun or by the fire, on a lap or in a soft bed. Getting head scratches and belly rubs would be a bonus.
