My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Clarice is being fostered in TX.

what we know about Clarice:
Clarice had a difficult beginning and that made her a little shy. She gets startled easily by some sounds, like glass bottles clasping, other dogs barking, and she especially dislikes when she is running away and you are trying to catch her from behind.

Nonetheless, she is improving greatly and is becoming more secure of herself. Clarice LOVES to eat, and LOVES to run long distances, She is a VERY active pup, more suitable to very active families who will love to exercise with her ( cycling, running, etc ) in a daily fashion. She may even have some Australian Cattle Dog in her!

Also, it is very important that Clarice has fellow brothers/sisters that are willing to play with her non stop. Otherwise, she becomes destructive VERY fast!

She loves to cuddle with you (specially at night) and doesn't like to be left alone. She loves to hear your voice and feel you close by, even when playing with her brothers.

Clarice's eyes didn't fully develop (microphthalmia), but she seems to be able to see some shadows (especially high contrast ones). Clarice is deaf in one ear, the left one, which gives her trouble recognizing where the sound is coming from on certain occasions.

Nonetheless, she is a brilliant girl. She navigates the house without issues; we move furniture quite often and have a toddler who is always changing the landscape, and Clarice navigates all "obstacles" without difficulty. She learns the layout very fast!

At the moment (Sep 20th) Clarice is half house trained, she poops outside, and for the most part pees outside too (as soon as she feels grass). She has been having some accidents lately and she is going to be checked to discard a possible UTI.
BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
