My story

Canela has not really revealed much about herself here at DAS. She once told us that her name means cinnamon in Spanish. She also expressed her frustration with her `resting sad face,` because she`s not actually sad all the time! Canela may think it`s frustrating, but we believe her `sad puppy-dog` eyes are the cutest! Other than those statements, the rest of the information about Canela only comes from rumors. Some say she went to Bora Bora, but then others stated she has never left the country. Obviously, these are conflicting statements. It seems like DAS volunteers need to keep investigating this cute pup!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Come visit us at 1818 N. Westmoreland Rd. and meet our wonderful adoptable pets! Our adoption fees are low, with adoption specials all the time to encourage adoption over other means of acquiring an animal, and to bring people into the shelter. Fees at https://dallascityhall.com/departments/dallas-animal-services/Pages/Adoption-Fees.aspx

When coming in to adopt, please bring your drivers license or other state-issued photo ID, and, if you rent, a copy of your lease showing that pets are allowed. Please print out our adoption application form from https://dallascityhall.com/departments/dallas-animal-services/Pages/adoption.aspx and fill it before coming to our shelter. We have our application in English and Spanish. If you forget to bring it, we will have applications at front desk.
