My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Siska is a sassy spitfire with smarts! She is an incredible dog with many talents, however, getting along with other dogs is not one of them.

She came to us after being surrendered to a rescue group due to the owner dealing with personal struggles that did not allow her to properly care for Siska. They contacted another rescue group that specializes in training and finding jobs for their dogs and Siska was pulled the very next day due to time constraints. When they contacted us, we were wowed by her skills and scooped her up. She entered our search dog training program and she nearly made it through, however, due to her reactivity towards dogs, it was decided that this type of work was not right for her.

Siska has amazing drive and is highly intelligent. She bonds strongly with her people and will be a terrific partner for someone who is able to recognize that special 'I'll do anything for you' type of relationship. She would do best with a trainer/handler experienced with drivey dogs and Malinois/Shepherd breeds (or with someone keen to learn). She has tons of training (on/off leash obedience) and will search in any environment.

Meet Siska!

Although she is a serious dog, she LOVES to play ball and once she has warmed up to you, she happily gives and receives affection. She is super athletic and fit with lots of energy and the willingness to 'go go go!'
