My story

When you have a rough past and have been let down by humans, it can take a while for you to learn to trust again. That's how it has been for Prince, but he is coming along and is ready to find his forever home. He is a quirky, high energy dog, but once he trusts you, he is eager to please and will work even for very tiny treats! Prince has been attending training sessions with one of the NCCR volunteers and has done very well. Any potential adopter would need to be willing to come to the shelter to meet Prince and spend several visits with him. We are sure that someone out there will see Prince's potential and make the time commitment to get to know him. He loves walks and especially loves playing ball in the yards. Prince would love to be your one and only and will be your devoted companion!

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application. Head over to our website at www.caninerescue.org for an application.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

All puppies/dogs over 16 weeks of age will be spayed or neutered prior to adoption. The adoption fee is $190.00(includes spaying/neutering, age appropriate vaccinations, worming and microchip). If the puppy is too young for altering at the time of adoption, the adoption fee is $250. Adopter must sign contract agreeing to spay/neuter by specified date in the adoption contract. $125 is returned to adopter upon proof of spaying/neutering. The adoption fee includes age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and microchip.

We try to match each dog with its new home so that chances for a successful, lifetime placement are much higher. Each interested party is asked to fill out an application (www.caninerescue.org) which is then reviewed and processed. References are required.
