My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Darrow's eyes tell a story of resilience, marked by scars from his kittenhood that have left them with a captivating blend of blue hues and wisps of cloudiness. Darrow navigates his world with the poise of a true gentleman, adapting effortlessly to his surroundings. Although his depth perception may be a tad askew, it doesn't hinder his playful spirit or his ability to find joy in every moment. But what truly sets Darrow apart is his heart of gold. He is the epitome of a sweetheart, melting hearts with his affectionate nature and unwavering love for people. Whether it's cuddling on the couch or receiving chin scratches, Darrow thrives on human companionship and cherishes every moment spent in the company of his beloved humans. In his previous home, Darrow lived harmoniously with another cat, showcasing his gentle demeanor and amiable personality. Additional adoption info

HSNMB does not hold animals and all adoptions are done on a first-come, first-served basis in person at the shelter. Once the adoption is completed and the fee is paid, you must take the animal with you at that time.

Please be sure to bring a photo ID and cash or a credit card for the adoption fee. The primary caregiver is required to be present to go through the adoption process. Any children 5 and under and, in some cases, any existing dogs living in the home will be required to be present and meet the animal prior to adopting. Meet and greets are not required for all animals, but may be deemed necessary by HSNMB staff for specific pets.

Adoption Fees:
Cats (over 6 months of age): $60
Kittens (under 6 months of age): $100
Dogs (over 6 months of age): $110
Puppies (under 6 months of age): $140
Seniors ages 60 and up qualify for discounted adoptions fees.
