My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Available for adoption in New England-Gus and Niko!!

Lucky Lab is pleased to introduce a stunning bonded pair, Gus and Niko. They are currently in New England, so an approved adopter would have an opportunity for a meet and greet. They are brothers and littermates and are looking for a loving home where they will be able to be happy and play for the rest of their lives!

The boys are 3.5 years old and were born on 8/17/18. They are strong boys who need work on leash manners, so their adopter would need to be prepared to work on this with them and have the strength to control them when on leash.

Gus is the smaller of the two at 50 pounds. He is very healthy, with a beautiful coat, and gorgeous white teeth. He is energetic and just loves to play with his brother Niko in the fenced-in yard. They love to wrestle and play catch with balls. In the evening Gus loves to cuddle with Niko while watching TV and would LOVE to curl up on your lap. He is shy at first with people and other dogs, but quickly warms up and enjoys affection and attention. He does well with other dogs after an initial meeting. Like a true Labby, he loves car rides and to swim.

Gus is crate trained. All you need to do is to say the word “crate” and he goes right in and is comfortable there. He also knows sit, stay, and down. He would benefit from additional leash skills and other commands. He’s a smart boy and eager to please!

Niko is a big boy at 80 pounds! Like Gus, he enjoys being playful and playing tug with his toys. He also loves car rides and swimming. He knows the same basic commands of sit, stay, and down, and could benefit from more leash training.

Niko loves his people and gets along with other dogs. He is beautiful and very healthy.

This pair of truly wonderful dogs would do great with a family who has a fenced-in yard that would allow these boys to play, and then settles in the house and cuddle with one another or with you!!! They would do well with children 12 and older, as they are large and have energy.

Both dogs are neutered, up to date on vaccines, are microchipped, and are kept on monthly preventatives. If interested in providing them with a loving home, please apply at www.luckylabrescue.com
