My story

Blue is ready to find his forever family! This 8yr old 60ish lb compact and super handsome little nugget found himself at a city shelter when his family had to move and was unfortunately unable to take him along. He spent time at our vet having some tests done on his skin to determine the cause of his hairless areas. The staff at the vet absolutely loved him, and raved about how awesome he was while spending time with them.

Blue was diagnosed with follicular dysplasia - this is a condition where abnormal follicular cells develop which leads to early onset alopecia or generalized poor hair quality. It's a benign condition, but sometimes can cause dogs to develop a minor skin irritation/infection (typically easily cleared by a simple antibiotic). Otherwise, it will have no real effect on Blue's life - he's just a bit more naked than the average pup!

We know that Blue is going to make a wonderful addition to the right family. He would love someone experienced, who wants a love bug and walking buddy. Blue is dog social, and hasn't met a dog yet (big or small) that he hasn't wanted to hang out with! He has lived with a cat in the past, and would do best in a home with kids age 10+. Why adoption is a great option

Blue, a Stamford American Staffordshire Terrier/English Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/English Bulldog for sale in Stamford, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/English Bulldog dog from a breeder in Stamford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Stamford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Stamford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/English Bulldog breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/English Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Stamford paves the way for another one to be saved.
