We are sisters and are a bonded pair, so we need to be adopted together. We are very friendly and enjoy spending time playing together and getting attention from humans!
Both of us are pretty laid back, however, we like to rule the roost if there are other kitties around. For that reason, our furever home probably shouldn’t have any other kitties.
Java is a long-haired kitty and Esther is a short-haired kitty.
If you think we might be a good fit in your household, visit this link to schedule a time to meet us or to fill out the adoption application https://www.ahimsasafehaven.org/adoptnow.

More about this rescue
Ahimsa Safe Haven is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit located in Onsted, MI. We are a forever home to cats with feline leukemia, abandoned small farm animals and aquatic life. We also rescue and rehome kittens. What does Ahimsa mean? Essentially, at the most basic level, ahimsa is the concept that we are all connected, and any harm done to others is harm done to oneself. We are unique because we rescue small farm animals from cruelty and slaughter situations. We also provide a forever home to cats with Feline Leukemia, that would have otherwise been euthanized just because they tested positive. We are big in adopting out rescued cats and kittens. We also rescue aquatic life that have been completely abandoned. With all of the lives we save, we use their stories to help educate and connect the world into thinking differently. Ahimsa is a rescue that the community can come experience, interact and connect with all kinds of animals that would otherwise have been sacrificed to feed them.
