My story

This is puzzle. He's a 2yr old(Approx.) Crested gecko. BACKGROUND: He was 1 of 5 males and 3 females that were all cohabitated in a 50 gallon tank. I found an ad for a 50 gal. Tank with 6-8 geckos in it. THEY COULD NOT TELL ME FOR SURE HOW MANY or what sexs. Moldy PINE shavings for substrate, long since dried up food and no clean water source and 1 tall hide for everyone. The males heads were scared up(when males fight they headbutt each other) and only 1 kept his tail.

HOW HE GOT HIS NAME: When I brought the tank home, cleaned it out. I found 7 geckos, that's in the range, and as I had it completely emptied I still didn't see more, I set the hide to take up & soak the next morning. That night I was going up to get some water, in the darkness on top of that hide.. I seen what appeared to be white squares.... is that... is that a gecko?!?! Flipped all the lights on, and ran over, gecko in hand to check maybe one got out.... nope he was wedged way in the hide apparently and I missed him even tho I felt&looked in the hide, apparently I missed him. So that's how he got puzzle. The last piece lol.

More about this rescue

I'm kaylea. I started dragon Queen Reptile Rescue, well accidentally I suppose. I got my first rescue, he was free on Craigslist had almost nothing in his tank and completely wrong lights, took me a while to get him to eat and see that it was different here but once I did, it was like everything clicked and now I have leopard geckos, crested geckos, tokay geckos, gargoyle geckos, other geckos! And of course BEARDIES!
