Hello, allow me to introduce myself – Ginger, Ms. Ginger if you’re nasty; any Janet Jackson friends out there? Anyone? No worries, I am a big music fan of all genres.

My name is Ginger, and I am about 6 years old. The vet believes I am Australian Shepherd, and am about 100 pounds, all muscle.

Not much is known prior to my time at LTR, but I am settling in nicely to my foster home. I know basic commands – sit, shake. I am very much an observer. I love to sit and watch all of my peoples.

My favorite spot will definitely be where I can see everyone – stair landing, hallway, kitchen. Love the kitchen, also I might get a treat if I hang out there, right?

Come on’, who can resist my blue eyes? I enjoy my evening walks of about ¾ of a mile, 2 squares per day plus lots of belly rubs.

I am best with older children (8+) and am friends with my foster family dogs.

I'm spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped with lots of love to give.

My adoption fee is $200

Why adoption is a great option

Ginger, a Ft. Thomas Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees for sale in Ft. Thomas, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Ft. Thomas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ft. Thomas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ft. Thomas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ft. Thomas paves the way for another one to be saved.
